A Little Bit About Me!

Hello! I'm Louisa, a Scottish illustrator and designer, currently based in Aberdeen and Dumfries and Galloway. Having been brought up in a small, Scottish, coastal village in Dumfries and Galloway, I have always been inspired by our beautiful natural surroundings.

Through the use of limited colour palettes, my illustrations have a unique graphic style, reminiscent of vintage railway posters. Coastal landscapes are my niche, but I also love to personify animals in cute illustrations, and to make minimalistic maps to showcase local areas and wildlife.

My prints and greeting cards are printed in the UK on 100% recycled paper which is FSC certified, so you’re not only supporting a local artist, but the planet too!

 

In 2022, I graduated from Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen with a First Class Honours Degree, and was delighted to have my first commission fresh out of university with STV (Scottish Television). In 2023/2024, I was also accepted to exhibit at Scotland’s premier art event, Spring Fling, which is one of the UK’s most successful contemporary visual arts and crafts events.
